Installation Instructions:
• Surface must be clean and dry.
• Remove ALL wax and contaminants. Clean a 4’ wide
x 8’ long rectangle on hull with Isopropyl Alcohol –
use eye protection.
• Apply XtraLook XTS baits following Bait School Diagram
(below), exact placement of baits not required. Large, Medium
and Small baits give depth to the bait’s appearance. Arrange
your bait school in the shape of a teardrop with the point of
the teardrop toward stern. Center the bait school between the
waterline on bow when trolling, and transom.
• Peel bait from backing. Be sure head of fish is toward
bow of boat. Apply gently at first. Adhesive on bait is pressure
sensitive. You can adjust them, just pull off and re-apply.
Press firmly once positioned. Wait 72 hours before boating.
Do not apply when temperature is below 50° F, 10°C.
• Installation Tip - Flying Fish and Squid:
Before you get started, remove the excess material from around
all the baits. Peel back the head only and apply it first, then
roll the backing away from the bait as you slide your thumb/forefinger
down over the bait.
• Stencil Instructions - XtraLook XTS - Ablative Painted
Hulls:
Remove fish decal from backing and discard. Apply the fish outline
decal per the bait school diagram below. Paint with contrasting
color using a 1”chip brush. Remove fish outline decal
before paint dries for a smoother edge.
